Assessment of knowledge and awareness of oral health in rural and urban school teachers in Bareilly city: A cross-sectional study

Background: To assess the oral health knowledge and awareness among urban rural school teachers in around Bareilly. Materials methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 279 of urban, Bareilly using a questionnaire to knowledge, regarding health. Descriptive analysis done data were analyzed chi-square ANOVA test. Results: The age ranged from 19-50 years with mean 36.73±10.5 years. Among them, 17.20%(48) males 82.7% (231) females, which 75% population brushed their teeth twice daily. Most (40.38%) used brush paste 57% changed brushes every 3mnths, 10% 6 months while 27% those who changes when bristles get frayed up. Conclusion: From results study, it is evident that both areas, more emphasis area, need be provided adequate training effective hygiene practices.
